A comment I thought I’d share!

Adrian Tchaikovsky on The Stormcaller – "I’ve finished Tom Lloyd’s Stormcaller with some delight at watching it take a standard fantasy plot, lure it close by playing coy, and then kick it repeatedly in the crotch until it falls over. In other words, lovely twist at the end."

Can’t say fairer than that, and a fine use of one my favourite expressions too. Now I just have to keep up with my side of the bargain and get around to reading book 2 of Shadows of the Apt, which shouldn’t be so hard since I enjoyed the first one! The Devil Rides Out stands between me and it however, which I’ve only just started but am slightly concerned by the stock national stereotypes that have turned up thus far. But I shall persist, be Mr Devereux told me to read it and he can kill me in a hundred different ways.

  1. I’ve not read any Tchaikovsky, how is it? I have to say I am slightly tempted to read it whilst awaiting the Ragged Man to come through my door.

I’m glad to hear the praise from other authors too! Cannot be bad, and if he enjoyed the Stormcaller, oh boy, he has a lot in store for him in the other books.
