The good news is that my revamped website appears to be up and running, courtesy of the supremely talented Robin Morero – since this is something he’s knocked up for me in his spare time there might be a few bugs which we’d appreciate hearing about, but generally I think it looks great so many cheers for Robin and head on over to www.tomlloyd.co.uk for the small prize to be given to whoever finds the most mistakes!*
New features on the website – there’s a forum, since I’ve had a few fans asking for one of those, hopefully there’ll be some activity ready and waiting for when the US folk get their hot sticky hands on the Pyr edition!
The other main addition (there not being many since some of us have day jobs!) is the catch-up sections I’ve written. Apparently some people think the Twilight Reign books are a little complicated, so what I’ve done is written catch-ups, effectively a bald synopsis of the previous book giving necessary info so your memory is refreshed when you start the next book. All comments/feedback on that front would be greatly appreciated. I think Pyr certainly will be putting them at the start of the books where appropriate, and Gollancz might even as well!
Right, I may disappear for a bit as my tonsils are being removed this week. Nope, not having an operation, I just make one too many cracks about
‘s head being as smooth as a baby’s… well, best not to repeat past mistakes. Anyway, the point is I may be quieter than usual, but hopefully in a few weeks I’ll have a fully functioning throat and the edits for Grief will be finished so I can go back to my life and start writing Ragged Man.
*Prize may have no intrinsic value beyond my thanks
You, quiet? That’ll be a first!
I’m resisting the urge to post again on the subject of printing age ranges on books because that’s got me wound up this afternoon. Am trying to resist because a) it’s really nothing to do with me and I’m unlikely to write a children’s book and time soon, and b) all of the good arguments have already been expressed by other people already.
Hmm, all the good arguments taken. Lots already said on the subject. Nothing really to do with me anyway… WHAT AM I WAITING FOR – THIS IS WHAT THE INTERNET WAS MADE FOR!
