Ah well, I’ll get my coat.

Hmm, just did the practice citizenship test here – and I failed. Not even close to the pass mark either… Anyone know what year women got the vote? Personally I don’t think it really matters to a prospective citizen whether a child can work 10 or 12 hours during the week, surely that’s something you’d only bother knowing if you had cause to use the info? Interesting to see the EU got more than a few mentions, a subject not many brits will care/know much about!

  1. wow. thats really really hard, how do people gain uk citizenship nowadays. It would be interesting to see how many actual UK citizens could do this. I estimate that 75% of UK citizens would fail this. Does this mean they should be deported? At least it will free up some housing space if they do!

    You have failed the practice citizenship test.

    Questions answered correctly: 8 out of 24 (33%)

    Time taken: 03 minutes 30 seconds

    haha =P

  3. Damn but that makes me angry. I’ve lived here for 5 and a half years, and I’d have failed (54%) because, for example, no, I do NOT check regularly “the number of children and young people up to the age of 19 in the UK”. Census research really, really shouldn’t be a pre-requisite for immigration. Bloody hell.

    Neither does it matter, at least in my rather aggravated opinion, where Ulster Scots is spoken. No offense to the speakers, of course. But why do I need to know this to become a citizen? The mind, it boggles.

    And if one of the multiple-choice answers to a question beginning with “Which TWO of the following” is “anybody“!! – I’m sorry, I’m ranting. But that test? Is WRONG. Too much to hope that it’s a spoof?

  5. HA!!! As someone who actually had to take that stupid damn test, I passed first time! Woot! My final question?
    ‘What sport is played in the FA Cup?’
    Setiously??? Even an idiot would know that. The thing that annoyed me, was having to learn about Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Englan’s parliaments. Like I care about politicians?
