While I don’t have my copy to hand, I think it says somewhere in the Prince that a wise ruler surrounds himself with clever folk, unless that was a dream… Anyway, it’s thus reassuring that having had an email chat over the course of today with my new American editor, Lou Anders, it’s gratifying to realise that, in a similar vein to Jo Fletcher, he’s blatantly more intelligent and erudite than I am! This is obviously a good thing because I’m a complete intellectual snob and hate stupid people almost as much as the obese!
