Am not going to really post on the argument going on in America and the quite over-the-top and largely untrue comments being made about the NHS over there, esp by some fake politician, ahem, i mean MEP, no one’s ever heard of.
All I’ll say is this – my dad decided to go private for a routine op three years ago. One day later the NHS managed to save his life in a 9 hour operation, and in Oct he’ll be going in for the 3rd (and hopefully last) of the follow-up operations required to repair the damage and sort the mess the private doctor made. There are many problems with the NHS – of which my dad can list most with ease because he works in the industry – but it’s existence really isn’t one.
