At midnight I finished the proofread of the Ragged Man and have handed it in, tea and medals all round.
Something else worth pointing out – which I may post a photo of at some point – is that I’ve been sent two large posters advertising Stormcaller and Twiglet, each with cool cover art! Ok, so they’re the Czech editions and I can’t even pronounce the titles, but they’re still brilliant!
just wanted to say that I am really enjoying the Quintology (is that a word, it is now, doubters be damned) and have been awaiting The Ragged man for a while, had a lot of trouble getting The Grave Thief, in Canada, had to order it direct from the UK, but it was worth it.
Noticed that the Edition I got from that order, has diferent physical dimensions than the other two ( I was able to purchase here in Canada) got me thinking, would be neat if the 5th installment was available in only one format, that was distinct and unique among the rest of the set
just a random thought, from an anonymous commenter, with horrible syntax, spelling and grammar
Thanks from the guy with your queen on his money :D
;0) Am going with quintet myself, but you use whatever you like mate!
On the editions, it sounds like you ordered the TPB version, which is the main first edition of the book. They all came out in a short run of hardbacks for the collectors, large format paperback for the bulk of first sales, then B-format paperback.
On book 5, I suspect you’ll be in the minority on wanting a different sized edition – most people, including me, would prefer them all to look the same on their shelf! To make it unique I’m pushing for a really dark cover, so instead of green or blue for example, the dominant colour would be black and everything in the background only hinted at. Not sure how it’ll work in real life, but the idea in my head is nice….
