Seriously, why?

The majority of registered users on my website are dormant spambots, I don’t sell many copies of my books, I’m just not a celebrity – so why are you putting so much effort into hacking my website? Exactly what are you hoping to manage? I can understand if you were computer blindly prodding at it, but I’m told a person is manually making all these efforts. Have you confused me with that ‘other’ twilight author?

    They just want links to be registered from your forum to whatever shit they’re selling so that Google will rank it higher in searches.

    1. Well they’ve been trying that for ages, posting messages with links in the forum is something I accept but this is real people trying to exploit flaws in the site to send spam out from it and might lead to the site being shut down by the host because of the volume they send out.

        1. Yeah. Kinda sad that people in 3rd world countries are paid to register on my website and post spam messages in the forum though – it bugs me and depresses me in equal measures

    Just finished the Ragged Man, great battle, just couldn’t put it down until it was finished. Staying up late on a school night is never good.Well done.
